The Human Costs of War & Pathways to Peace
First Presbyterian Church, 42 Chenango Street, Binghamton, NY
Art, music, videos, a model drone – All are part of an exciting new First Friday event focusing on the unending costs of war to civilized society. “The Human Costs of War & Pathways to Peace” will stimulate interesting thought and discussion for people of all faiths. It examines the emotional, psychological, environmental, financial, and spiritual impact of war to soldiers, civilians, children and civilized society. It will be of interest to parents, teachers, and youth. Learn how to start conversations about peace-making and enjoy refreshments from 6 – 9 pm at the historic First Presbyterian Church, 42 Chenango St. Binghamton. Sponsored by the Broome County Council of Churches and many veteran, peace and justice groups. This is a timely topic as America contemplates involvement in new wars and also during tax season, when we should know and understand where our hard earned tax dollars are going.
