On October 28, 2011 PANYS was proud to award Congresswoman Barbara Lee (D-CA) our William Sloane Coffin, Jr. Peacemaker Award. The gala event was held at the Ana Tzarev Gallery (24 West 57th Street) and was an incredible evening. Representative Lee was the only lawmaker in either house of Congress to oppose the authorization of force in Afghanistan in 2001, and she is the sponsor of H.R. 780 (the Responsible End to the War in Afghanistan Act) that currently has 61 co-sponsors.
