Program Intern: Indian Point Campaign

Peace Action New York State seeks a part-time intern to work on our Shut Down Indian Point Campaign. The intern will work in the PANYS office for approximately 10 hours per week, helping the Executive Director create, manage, and carry out our campaign. The internship is unpaid, but there will be a $250 stipend at the end of the Spring semester.

Requirements: Must have an interest and some relevant background knowledge and/or coursework in nuclear power and/or nuclear weapons issues. Experience in grassroots organizing is preferred, but not mandatory. As with all organizing, some work may need to be done nights or weekends.

Program Intern: Student Organizing

Peace Action New York State is seeking a part-time intern to work in the PANYS office with our Student Organizing Coordinator on student organizing. The intern will work approximately 10 hours per week helping to create official PANYS student groups on campuses throughout the state. The internship is unpaid, but there will be a $200 stipend available at the end of the Spring semester.

Requirements: Grassroots organizing experience is strongly preferred. Interest in Peace Action New York State’s campaigns and mission are mandatory. As with all organizing, some work may involve night or weekend hours.
